Challenges and Countermeasures of Chinese College English Teachers’ Self-Development-Taking Shanghai Area as an Example

Abstract—College English is a required course for all non-English-major students in China. The new developing circumstances in modern China have made a claim for better-informed College English teachers. With the aid of the questionnaires, the challenges of Chinese College English teachers in their self-development are analyzed and the countermeasures are also suggested.

Index Terms—Challenge, College English teacher, countermeasure, self-development.
