The methodology is based on a quantitative survey of college students, 18-24 years (N=500).The results reveal that the majority of the young adults prefer online news instead of traditional news media. Data shows that young adults prefer entertainment news and dislike business and finance news. Findings also highlight that news media consumption appears significantly higher among older youth and males compared to younger youth andfemales. These findings suggest the profound changes of emerging news consumption behavior among young adults andits impact on online news media.
