Abstract—The two largest Muslim sect of the world, the
Sunni and the Shi’ite have a totally different view and discipline
on handling the Islamic Law. However, the most distinctive
factor that differentiates these two giant sects is the creed of
Imamate. This creed is extracted by the Shi’ite from various
sources of Islamic law. This article is focusing on evaluating
those
aÍÉdīth by using the method outlined by the Shi’ite
themselves. Results suggested that these
aÍÉdīth cannot be used
as a solid material in determining a creed in a given school of
thought.
